3 Ways to Keep Your Momentum this Year!

Every year many people set goals for the new year and by mid-January some of us have already given up. But that will not be our outcome in 2019! Here’s 3 ways to keep your momentum this year.
We got Roosevelt his very own suitcase, and he has NOT put it down yet! While we were traveling during the holidays he was determined to get through the airport with his bag ON HIS OWN! There may be something new you want to do this year ON YOUR OWN, be determined to make it happen and keep your momentum!

       1.    New year, MORE God.

We tend to see the phrase “new year, new me” at the start of every year, but what most fail to realize is a new you requires God. Our relationship with Him has to grow, we have to spend time with Him and receive His perfect guidance and direction for our lives. Without God, the “new you” becomes the “worse you”, trapped in an ongoing vicious cycle year after year. This year will be different, because you’ll choose to seek God every step of the way. Keep your fire burning for Him and keeping your momentum will be the least of your worries.

        2.    Be reasonable.

Understand that somethings take time. We have to be reasonable when setting goals. I’m not saying we shouldn’t reach high for the things we desire to achieve, I’m simply saying that if one of your goals is to lose 100 pounds, don’t give yourself a week to do it. Many times, we set unrealistic goals and when we fail to meet them, we automatically lose momentum and hope; which causes us to give up all together. Your goals can be massive and may even seem impossible, but with God all things are possible.

        3.    Kill procrastination.

If you want to get anything done in this year, we must get rid of procrastination. I know it can be difficult, trust me I’ve been there! One thing that helped me tremendously was constantly reminding myself of my goals and dreams as well as who and why I’m trying to accomplish my goals. Maybe your goal is to be debt free, screenshot the amount of debt and set it as your phone screensaver. Every time you see it, that will be your reminder to keep pushing, the reminder that you can’t procrastinate, you have dreams to fulfill. Don’t allow procrastination to block you from getting to your destination. Keeping your momentum will require you to kill procrastination.

I hope these 3 things will help you keep your momentum this year. Keep me posted on your accomplishments. I believe in you and I’m standing in faith that this year will be your year of manifestation!
